Well done Jane and Leon, it's great to see a married couple working so hard. The food is great! I don't live in Stevenage, but think Jane and Leon deserve an award for how they have turned this pub around.

I’m not aware of what the pub was like before so I cant pass comment on the improvements that others have remarked on, however I have been to the pub a few times this year to meet up with some old mates who live in Stevenage, I found it a friendly atmosphere, landlord and his staff made me feel welcome, his punters seemed a regular bunch and the food was really good, I wouldn’t hesitate in popping in for some tucker and/or a drink when I’m up that neck of the woods again.

At last a place where Mums and Dads can go to their local for a quiet drink, while their little ones can play in the safe zone of the play barn. They also serve a fabulous range of food to Traditional English and Caribbean cuisine.

The sunday carvery is always cold. The roast potatoes are cold and not crispy, the vegetables are hard and cold. The meat is the only thing that is okay. The beer is the most expensive in stevenage. Normally only one person serving.

i am not a pub person, but Leon and Jane have done wonder's to the pub and i am very proud of them. I feel really safe leaving my children in the play barn and then going into the pub. The food is of excellent quility and they do not cut corner's. Jane, Leon and the rest of the staff are a pleasure to know, it is a warm enviroment and it is surrounded by lovely warm people. Keep up tne good work folks!!!

I ran a pub nr Milton Keynes for Leon, he buried his head in the sand, me and my missus, are out of pocket because of him. He shudnt be running a pub. What goes round, comes around.

We have been going to the chells family pub since leon and jane took over..What they have done with the pub is nothing short of a miracle..Turned it totally around..I beleive its never been done in stevo before..So well done leon and jane..It really is a Family pub full of nice people and great food.We have attended birthday partys (my own included) wedding receptions,Kareoke nights,Discos, even recently we held my brothers wake up there..All of which were catered superbly for by Leon,Jane and their most excellant team,They did my family proud that day,Even supplying my brothers favorite music which was played softly in the background. So the Chells Family Pub gets my vote every time,Im proud to say its my local and im very glad to have met Leon and Jane..Well,thats enough from us cos were off down the pub for lunch..Cheers..
